Minutes for the Monthly Meeting of the
Board of Directors of Mar Cheri Community Club

Treasurer: Gary Mesick
Treasurer’s Report. As of 28 September 2025, the Community had $12478.69 in the Operating account (checking) and $29818.47 in the Reserve (savings).
Through September, the Community is $10000 over budget in spending. This is largely due to professional services (lawyer, geologist, and arborist) and utilities. The Community has also received about $4000 more than budgeted in dues, which partially offsets the shortfall.
For September, there were no expenditures from Reserves.
As of September 28, 67 members have paid their 2025 dues in full. One household is making installment payments. One household has not paid dues for 2022, 2024 or 2025.

Maintenance/Pool: Ken Schiewetz (acting chairperson)
Ken made a motion that $900.00 be approved to replace the pump seal at the pool. Gary Mesick seconded the motion. A vote was taken and the motion passed.
Architecture: Ken Schiewetz (acting chairperson)
One new request was made of the Architectural Committee since the last meeting;
- Div. 4, Lot 7- new exterior paint.
No new violations were issued in September.
Ongoing violations:
- Div.1, Lot 10
- $75.00 per month for lack of maintenance (roof shingles) continues. Balance $975.00.
- $50.00 per month for overgrowth of weeds. Balance $300.00, violations remedied and fines stopped in May.
- Div. 3, Lot 2
- $50.00 per month yard and weed overgrowth. Balance $0 as fines have been paid.
- Div. 4, Lot 14
- $700.00 per month ($50 per tree for 14 trees) for view interference. Balance $16,100.

New Business:
Motion made by Ken Schiewetz to go into executive session (7:10 PM), pursuant to RCW 64.38.035(4) to discuss pending litigation and advice from Mar Cheri’s attorney.
Motion seconded by Gary Mesick.
A vote was taken and the motion passed.
Board reconvened in open session 7:30 PM.

Ken Schiewetz made a motion to approve the attached special assessment budget, which would result in a special assessment of $600.00 per lot, for the purpose of paying for legal fees to pursue counterclaims and defend the action brought against Mar Cheri Community Club by Laurence Mahar.
Anne Mesick seconded the motion.
A vote was taken and the motion passed approving the special assessment budget.
Ken Schiewetz made a motion to call a special meeting of the members of the Mar Cheri Community Club to be held on Monday, November 17, 2025 for the purpose of holding special assessment budget ratification vote.
Gary Mesick seconded the motion.
A vote was taken and the motion passed to call a special assessment budget ratification meeting on Monday, November 17, 2025.
A letter, containing more information about the meeting, will be mailed to property owners.
There being no other business, Ken closed the meeting at 7:40PM.
The next monthly meeting will be held on Tuesday, Nov.11, 2025 at 7 PM via Zoom.
