January 2020 Board Meeting Minutes

January 14, 2020 7:15PM  

Meeting was called to order by President Ken Schiewetz.  In attendance were board members Anne Mesick, Larry Barlow and Brenda Busskohl.  Rob Martinez provided his update over the phone.

PRESIDENT:   Ken Schiewetz       

Budget:  To be sent out to board for approval (No response = Approved), the approved budget will be sent to all homeowners prior to the February Annual Meeting.

Homeowner dues letter:  Ken is finishing up the letter and will send it out for board review.  PAYHOA will mail out letters including postage for $1.50 cents each.

Reserve study:  An overview of the study will be made available to the homeowners for the February Annual Meeting.

Stream Migration:  Ken met with the Soundview Consultant; next plan is to develop the Scope of Work.

Old Mar Cheri Files:  Anne Mesick will help Brenda Busskohl go through the old files to find old Board meeting minutes and any other information that should be scanned to PDF, stored, or shredded.

TREASURE:   Larry Barlow

As of January 2020 (approximation):       Income (2019 dues):       $48,000               (3 Dues still in arrears)

                                                                           Expenses:                           $50,000

                                                                           Reserve:                             $25,000

Web site and hosting:  Larry Barlow will become the backup administrator for the Web site and hosting, and will make the payment of $202.80 for the community web site and email hosting bill.

RECREATION:  Anne Mesick

Next event will be the Work Party, most likely May 16, but final details will be announced at a later date.

ARCHITECTURE:   Rod Martinez

Pool House Roof:  Bid for new roof for the pool building will be presented at February Board Meeting.

Hillside erosion from build site:  Work has stopped and we are awaiting an erosion mitigation plan.

AT LARGE:   OPEN – Please contact the board if interested in volunteering

The current pool lock broken, Larry Barlow offered to check with a contact from Recon 6, there is a Schlage system that is waterproof and can be monitored on-line at the cost of $10/month, current homeowner cards may be compatible to prevent cost of replacement cards.

NEXT MEETING:   Will be the Annual Homeowners meeting on February 11, 2019 at Gary and Anne Mesick’s home (30019 2nd Ave SW) 2019 Annual November Meetings will be sent out prior to meeting.

There was no further business, the meeting adjourned at 7:55pm.
