Recreation – Nancy Krueger
Activities at the pool continue to go smoothly. One associate membership was refunded because the member did not like the warm water temperature. The water temperature is difficult to keep stable because there is no dial-in thermostat for setting the temperature. We are investigating the possibility of installing such a thermostat.
We passed our health inspection. New signs outlining safety rules from the Health Department will be posted.
Last day for swimming is Labor Day, September 3.
Architecture
The board approved a deck replacement project and an outstanding issue with trees blocking views has been resolved.
Maintenance — Mark Bunger
The board discussed that the summer pool cover needs to be replaced, but that the winter cover is a higher priority, since the new summer cover won’t be needed until next season. We will look for a good sale on a new summer cover. The new winter cover is needed to meet safety code requirements.
We also discussed the need to investigate poor drainage in the pool and playground areas. Diagnostics will be scheduled for the beginning of September so that work won’t interfere with pool activities.
The meeting adjourned at 7:40 pm. The next meeting will be held at 7 pm on Tuesday, September 4 at the Bengeult’s.
Respectfully submitted,
Vicki Bengeult
