Board of Director’s Meeting – October 2, 2013

Treasurer’s Report – Pete Keller

67 of 69 assessment payments have been received. State and federal employment reports and taxes have been submitted for 3rd quarter 2013. Telephone and trash pickup service has been discontinued at the pool. Peter presented a document outlining the typical steps he takes to collect late assessments, and the timing for sending past due notices. These were voted upon and accepted as our Assessment Payment Policy.

Website and Minutes Distribution – Vicki Bengeult

We now have 49 email addresses on our newsletter distribution list. Henceforth, minutes will be distributed via the email list and posted on the Mar Cheri website as soon as possible after they have been approved by the board. For those who do not receive minutes via email, we will distribute the minutes quarterly by regular mail. As always, notices of the annual meetings will be a separate mailing. If you are not on the email list, please sign up by sending your email to: info@marcheri.org.

Vicki is also researching alternatives to our current website for sharing information such as yard sales, pet sitting services, and other community news that is not part of the official Mar Cheri minutes. One such service is called nextdoor.com. Participation would be strictly voluntary. Our existing website would be kept for official Mar Cheri business and pool information, but the ‘social’ side of it, which is difficult to use as currently designed, will be moved to another service.

The meeting adjourned at 8:20 pm and the next meeting will be held at the Bengeult’s on Tuesday, November 5 at 7pm.
