Board of Director’s Meeting – November 15, 2011

Secretary’s note: Apologies for the delay in receiving the November minutes. We did not meet in December and next meeting is tonight. You can expect the minutes from tonight’s meeting to be delivered this weekend.

Treasurer’s Report – November 2011 — Pete Keller
Current balances:
Savings $18657 including $10,000 Pool Resurfacing fund
Checking $2440

2011 assessments from 67 homes and 21 associate members have been received so far. 3rd quarter state payroll taxes have been submitted. Our $10000 CD has matured and was not renewed. Due to bank of America’s new fees for checking and saving account balances below $3000, that money will be kept in the saving account to avoid a fee when our balances are low early in the year. Mar Cheri has been chosen for an audit by the state Employment Security department. This is scheduled for mid-November.

One homeowner has fully paid their past dues. We will be placing a lien on the other two properties and are exploring a small claims action on a third homeowner.

Recreation –Nancy Krueger
Watermills has completed the installation of a few new tiles and the re-caulking of the circumference of the pool. Today, thanks to the clear weather, Ron and his crew could finish the job. They also reset the alarm.

I am planning a neighborhood gathering for Friday, December 30th at my home and hope everyone will join us. This year we will schedule it between Christmas and New Year’s because my daughters will be home then. Look for an invitation in the mail in early December.

Architecture – Sherry Murchison
One of our community members is planning a new landscaping project and notified the architectural control committee of the planned work.

Maintenance — Mark Bunger
Pool cover is on. This winter, Mark and Nancy will be improving the safety signage at the pool. The backflow preventer will be installed this winter.

Annual Meeting
The annual meeting will be scheduled for mid-February. Notification of meeting date and ballots for the election of the 2012 Board will be in your mailboxes by mid-January.

The meeting adjourned at 8:05pm and the next meeting will be held on Monday, January 9 at 7pm at Nancy Krueger’s home.

Request from Neighbors:
Several of our community members up at 2nd Ave SW entrance have noticed that cars coming in and out of Mar Cheri are driving quite fast. Please remember that we have several families with children living near this entrance adjust your speed accordingly.
