For the month of January, the community is $800 under the proposed (but not yet approved) 2025 budget. There were no Reserve expenses in January. 68 households have paid their 2024 dues in full. One household has not paid for 2024 and also owes 2022 dues, which is an ongoing issue being handled by the Community lawyers. Invoices for 2025 will be sent after the Annual Meeting, with a due date of 1 April and a proposed amount of $965.
Secretary: Anne Mesick
The Annual Meeting at the Wayside Church is scheduled for this Thursday, February 13 at 7PM. Ballots are arriving by mail.
At Large: Larry Barlow
Larry reported that he has had more time to study the entry locks for the pool and common area. If the funds should become available for the replacement of the aging system that is in place now, Gary would volunteer to help dig the trenches for the installation.
Maintenance/Pool: (Acting chairperson Ken Schiewetz)
Between the January meeting and tonight’s meeting, the board approved $1500.00 for a geological survey to be made on the common area around the pool.
Ken reported that he should have the results of the geo-study for the annual meeting.
Orca is preparing to do the work on the drain covers at the pool. The firm estimate that was given for the work is $1900.00. As the installation for those new drain covers was being finalized, it was relayed to Ken that King County requires an additional engineering survey of the integration of all of the equipment at the pool. Ken will have a conversation with Water Mill, the company who installed the equipment, to see if they have the specifications used at the time of the installation of the new equipment, possibly eliminating the need for another survey.
